The American Blood Trackers Association is guided by a team of experienced handlers, educators, and volunteers committed to raising the standard of wounded game recovery. Every member of our leadership team works in the field, trains with purpose, and believes in building a stronger future.
Kenny Mullins- Co-founder of ABTA and full-time professional trainer and tracker. Oversees strategic direction, outreach, education, and national standards. Leads from the field- still tracking, still training.
Ethan Young- Full-time professional trainer and tracker. Oversees day-to-day operations, supports test planning, and helps manage ABTA operations across the country. A working dog handler first, and a mission-focused organizer second.
Kayla Tyer- Manages communication, member records, renewals, and financial systems. Keeps ABTA’s operations running cleanly and transparently.
Stacey Frost- Oversees ABTA’s national testing program, judge training, and field certification standards. Ensures dogs and handlers are tested for what really matters, recovery performance in the field.
Matt Burger- Leads seminars, livestreams, and online learning initiatives. Focused on advancing scent theory, training strategy, and real-world problem-solving for both dogs and handlers.
Emily Nale- Coordinates mentorship pairings, supports new trackers, and fosters growth across experience levels. Builds relationships that grow skill and confidence- not shortcuts.
Lyle Avis- Manages ABTA’s digital tools, online systems, and infrastructure. Supports tracker tools, event registration, directory systems, and future tech development.
Joe Tenney- Primary contact for members and events in the northern U.S. Helps coordinate seminars, support judge teams, and expand ABTA’s presence at the regional level.
Coda Stewart- Primary contact for members and events in the southern U.S. Helps coordinate seminars, support judge teams, and expand ABTA’s presence at the regional level.
